Understanding the Plan:

Sovereign Hope Church is working intentionally to GROW bigger and GIVE more so that members can GO and plant more churches. 

1. Develop an active presence in our community

Our goal is to establish an active presence in our community by creating intentional ways for our members to serve the less fortunate together, specifically targeting opportunities to care for widows and orphans.

Current Action Plan: We are working to determine WHO we plan to serve and HOW we plan to do it.

2. Grow and equip additional leaders

Our goal is to establish additional elders and deacons that are shepherding the church biblically and leading the church in service faithfully with the intent of sending a portion of our leadership to plant another local church at the appropriate time.

Current Action Plan: We have 1 elder candidate that we hope to affirm in May 2019.

*UPDATE - We affirmed Marcus Garrett as the fourth elder of our church in May of 2019.

3. grow our membership with the purpose of planting

Our goal is to grow our membership to no more than 150 (adults and children) through new conversions as much as possible, with the purpose of planting another church rather than building a bigger facility, allowing our church to remain small while growing. 

Current Action Plan: We are working to develop an organized plan for welcoming and acclimating visitors and new members into our church family.

4. Develop a plan to plant when the timing is right

Our goal is to strategize a plan, including targeting a new location somewhere in our surrounding area, to plant another local church so that we can relocate a portion of our membership and leadership when our membership size and leadership ability is appropriate.

Current Action Plan: We are working to develop a potential plan with certain logistics solidified for planting another church when the timing is right.

5. Connect with mission-minded ministries that disciple, translate and plant

Our goal is to identify and connect our church with mission-minded ministries that are focused on discipleship, Bible translation and global church planting, enabling our members to participate and partner in a variety of ways.

Current Action Plan: We are working to determine WHO we plan to support and HOW we plan to connect our members.
