Sovereign Hope Children Meetings
How We Minister to Our Children...
Sovereign Hope places a strong emphasis on the spiritual development of our children. Our desire is to strengthen the family by seeking to train and equip fathers and mothers to understand how to effectively lead, discipline, and disciple their children according to God’s Word. We also want to provide ways for parents to feel additional support in raising their children as we come alongside to reinforce what is being taught at home. One of the unique ways we seek to accomplish this is by keeping the family together in our worship services as much as possible. This means that on Sundays, our children are encouraged to be a part of our worship services by the time they complete Kindergarten. While at times this may be a growing process as small children learn to adjust to sitting through a sermon, we believe the long-term benefits of children observing their parents humbly yielding to God are worth it. In addition, while we understand younger kids will not always understand fully the content of a sermon, we have seen fruit from having our children present during this teaching time. Whether it is pieces of the sermon that are referenced to parents throughout the week or inquisitive questions that are brought up on the ride home, we know our children are often listening and understanding more than we realize. Our services are casual in nature and allow our children the opportunity to grow and adjust to worshipping with us.
Sunday Service: Nursery care for Newborns - 5-year-olds (Kindergarten) is provided for the entire service.
Kids' ClubS & Youth Deep Dive
6:30-8:00 pm (Kids' Club): Our children in Kindergarten - 5th grade meet for Kid’s Club on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. This gathering is led by a team of individuals who seek to create an engaging environment that includes a Bible lesson, memorization of Scripture, games, and other activities. The goal of the evening is to create a time of fellowship for our children as they learn to understand God more and more through His Word. In addition to our formal Kid’s Club once a month, our kids also gather with dads (4th Wednesday of the month) for “Kid’s Club Rewind”- a less formal activity and review of content being learned at Kid’s Club.
6:30-8:00 pm (Youth Deep Dive and D-Groups): Our students in 6th-12th grade meet to discuss God's Word at Deep Dive on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. This gathering is led by individuals who have a heart to make disciples and teach our students how to walk with Jesus through their own time in the Word. The time together focuses on teaching our youth to develop spiritual disciplines like Scripture memorization and Bible study into their daily lives while helping them answer questions related to their own personal faith. On the 3rd Wednesday of the month (youth girls) and the 4th Wednesday of the month (youth boys) meet for their own version of D-Groups as they learn to study God’s Word personally.
